  • John Rosemond Parenting Seminar – Parenting with Love and Leadership – Thursday, November 2, 2017 | 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM in the Theatre – Purchase tickets online here
  • Counseling Updates
    • Learn-A-Latte, sponsored by the College Advising and Counseling office, will be held on October 6th at 8:00 am. The topic for this month’s meeting will be Why Is My Child Acting This Way? Developmental Stages of Children, and  Demonstrating Interest and Etiquette; At College Fairs and Interviews. Click here for more information.

  • Calling all 4th-9th grade girls! – GEMS stem event at USA Saturday, Nov 4th
    • USA is sponsoring a GEMS (Girls Expolring Science and Math) stem event for girls 4th-9th grade on the morning of Saturday, Nov 4th. This is a great opportunity for St. Paul’s girls interested in science and math to come out to the University of South Alabama and learn about interesting science topics and have alot of fun! Stem sessions will take place in the morning and end with lunch (chick fil a) and a closing ceremony. The session topics will vary and the girls will rank their top 5 pics during registration and they will then be assigned 2 out of those 5 sessions.
    • Parents will be able to stay if they wish and attend parent sessions about encouraging stem interest in their children. Registration is only open for 10 more days and sessions are first come first serve. The registration and session details are available here on the web: http://www.gemslab.org.

Grades PreK-2

  • ASM Q2 Enrichment Class registration closes Wednesday, October 11 at midnight. More information here.
  • OLSAT Standardized Testing for 1st and 2nd grade students is scheduled beginning October 17. More information here.
  • Tuesday, October 10 –K will have a field trip. Please contact homeroom teachers for more information. Please wear your RED field trip shirt.
  • Tuesday, October 10 – TK Ms. Dyess’ class will have a field trip. Please contact Ms Dyess for more information. Please wear your SPS uniform. We will return in time for lunch at school.
  • Thursday, October 12-SNACK BREAK- Parent Council will be selling snacks and drinks once a month. The proceeds from these Snack Breaks will go towards special projects for the Lower School! Please send $1 on Thursday, October 12 for Snack Break. Nut-free and gluten-free snacks will be available.
    • We will have 7 remaining Snack Breaks throughout the school year.
    • If you would like to pay for all Snack Breaks now, please send $7 cash or check (payable to St. Paul’s) to Kori Crawley.

  • Friday, October 13 – Mrs. Sigler/Kilpatrick’s class will sing on the Red Steps. Chapel begins at 8:05; all are welcome.
  • Friday, October 13- Kindergarten (Not TK1) will have our annual Farm Day! Students can come out of uniform on this day dressed as farmers. Please contact your classroom teacher of you have any questions
  • Friday, October 13- End of 1st Quarter. Report cards will be published on NetClassroom by October 23. St. Paul’s Login and password will be necessary to access grades.
  • Monday, October 16- Faculty Work Day- Student Holiday

Grades 3-4

  • Monday, October 9 – Church at 8:15 am in St. Paul’s Church.  Mrs. Starr /LeDoux’s class and Mr. Johnson’s class will lead us in worship.

  • Grade 6 – We are delighted to announce that the newly published Writers Stylus Portfolios have now arrived in the Campus Store and are available for purchase. The price of this text, which is required for sixth grade students, is $25. Please arrange for your student to have a copy of this text by the beginning of second quarter, October 17, when it will be used in English class.
  • Grade 8 – The last payment of $510 for the Washington DC trip is due on October 6th. If you have not made this last payment please do so by October 6th.
  • Friday, October 13 – End of First Quarter

Grades 9-12

  • College Fair – Bay Area Consortium College Fair at St. Paul’s – Monday, October 16, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
  • Grades 10-12 – College representative visits to SPS campus – access and sign up through your Naviance account.
  • Grades 11-12
    • Tuesday and Wednesday, October 10 and 11 – Jostens will be in the Upper School Library during lunch (11:45 – 12:15) on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 10 and 11, to take all class ring and graduation orders. Students should bring their order form and deposit money. If a senior is not placing a graduation order, they must still turn in the order form with student contact and height/weight information so that their cap and gown can be ordered. There is not a charge for the cap and gown rental. For questions, please contact Sandra Hudson at 461-2153.

  • Grade 12
    • Senior Yearbook Ads – One section of the yearbook is dedicated to baby or childhood pictures of the seniors with special messages from family. If you would like to purchase a “senior ad” for your senior, please fill out this form and return it by Monday, November 13.


  • Congratulations to Mary Howard Singleton and Stephen Conrad for being selected by the Mobile Optimist Club as the female and male runner-of-the-week as a result of their performance at the Sugar Bowl Classic in New Orleans this past Saturday. Read more here.
  • Congratulations to the Varsity Football team for defeating Jackson, 17-6 on Friday. The team will play Citronelle High School away on Friday, October 13. Kick off time is 7:00 pm.
  • Basketball
    • Girls 5th and 6th GRADE YDL BASKETBALL PARENT MEETING will be held on Monday, October 9th at 6:30 pm in the Upper School Library. Team assignments, practice schedules and uniform orders will be completed at this time. If you need additional information please contact Coach Amanda Niehoff at aniehoff@stpaulsmobile.net.
    • There will be a Boys 5th and 6th grade YDL BASKETBALL PARENT MEETING on Monday Oct. 9th at 5:30 pm in the back gym. For additional information please contact Coach Adam Thomas at Athomas@stpaulmobile.net.
    • Middle School Girls Basketball Tryouts are October 9th-11th (Monday-Wednesday) from 3:30pm-5:00pm. All 7th and 8th grade girls interested in participating in 2017-2018 basketball season should attend all three dates and MUST have an updated physical. You can contact Sharon Mosley to confirm if there is an updated physical on file. A sign-up sheet will be posted in the PE girls locker room the week prior to try-outs.
    • Middle School Boys Basketball Tryouts for 7th grade will be held on Oct. 21st 9:00 am – 10:30 am, Oct. 22nd 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm and Oct. 23rd 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm in the gym. Tryouts are for all 7th grade boys interested in MS basketball for this upcoming season. 8th Grade dates are tentative for Oct. 28-30 but will be finalized next week followed by an updated email.
  • Intramural Soccer Update – There are only two game days left in the intramural soccer season. Please make note of the following dates:
    • Monday October 9th: No Practice, No Games
    • Wednesday October 11th: Game day, all ages. Please wear your jersey and socks to the game.
    • Monday, October 16th: No school, teacher workday. No practice or games.
    • Wednesday, October 18th: Final game day. Team pizza party on the baseball field after the game. Medals and soccer balls will be distributed at the party.
    • Any parents that would like to help coordinate cookies, snacks, treats for their child’s team on awards day please email Coach Harrelson at charrelson@stpaulsmobile.net or text at 251-599-1908.
  • EVERY student in grades 7-12 must have an updated and current physical on file with the athletic department for tryouts and to maintain eligibility. Please notify Sharon Mosley to verify at smosley@stpaulsmobile.net.
